Description

Steel Pipe ASTM A 376/A 376M-02a is the standard for welded and seamless stainless steel pipes for high temperature service. This standard is applicable to stainless steel pipes used in high temperature and corrosive environments.

Applications

Steel pipes according to this standard are commonly used in industries such as:

  • Oil and gas industry: Oil and gas pipelines.
  • Chemical and petrochemical industry: Heat and corrosion resistant piping systems.
  • Energy Industry: Piping systems in power plants.
  • Food and pharmaceutical industry: Pipelines transporting liquids and gases.

Standards

This standard covers seamless and welded stainless steel pipes in sizes from 1/8 inch to 26 inches (3.18 mm to 660.4 mm). These pipes may be manufactured from various stainless steels such as Austenitic, Ferritic, Austenitic-Ferritic (Duplex), and other stainless steels.
