Description

DIN 2527 Blind Flanges, also known as blind flanges, are a type of flange used to seal the ends of pipes, valves or openings in a piping system. Unlike other types of flanges, blind flanges do not have a central hole and therefore do not allow the flow of liquid or gas.

  • Manufacturing materials : Stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminum, copper and other metal materials.
  • Size : Various, usually from DN 10 to DN 1000, depending on system requirements.
  • Working pressure : From PN 6 to PN 40.

Applications

  • Piping system : Used to stop flow in the piping system at unnecessary locations or when performing maintenance and repair.
  • Chemical and Petroleum Industry : Sealing pipe ends, valves or openings in chemical and petroleum processing systems.
  • Food and beverage industry : Ensure pipes are free from contamination when not in use.
  • Water and wastewater treatment industry : Used in clean water and wastewater treatment systems.

Standards

DIN 2527 is a German standard that specifies technical requirements for blind flanges, including:

  • Dimensions and tolerances : Specifies diameter, thickness and dimensional tolerances.
  • Working pressure and temperature : Determine the pressure and temperature resistance of the blind flange.
  • Materials : Regulations on the types of materials allowed for blind flanges.
  • Surface finishing and machining : Surface quality requirements and machining processes.
  • Testing and inspection : Specifies methods for testing and checking product quality.

DIN 2527 Blind Flanges are an effective solution for sealing pipe and valve ends in many industries, ensuring safety and durability of piping systems.
