Description

ASTM A 409/A 409M-01 covers electric resistance-welded or arc-welded stainless steel pipe for industrial applications. The pipes are manufactured from stainless steel plate and are available in nominal diameters from 1/8 inch to 26 inches.

Standards

  • Austenitic stainless steel: This type of steel includes steel grades such as 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 317, 321, 347, etc.
  • Ferritic/Austenitic (Duplex) stainless steel: Includes steel grades such as 2205, 2507, etc.
