Description

Threaded Cross is a type of internally threaded pipe fitting, widely used in many industries such as water supply and drainage, gas transmission, oil and gas, HVAC and chemical. This product complies with international standards such as ASME B16.11, ASTM, ISO, and API to ensure quality and safety during use.

Applications

  • Water supply and drainage system: Used to branch or connect pipes in the water supply and drainage system.
  • Gas Conduction Systems: Used in systems for conveying compressed air, natural gas, and other industrial gases.
  • Oil and gas systems: Applied in oil and gas pipelines in the oil and gas industry.
  • HVAC Systems: Used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to connect and branch pipes.
  • Chemical industry: Used in chemical piping systems to ensure safety and efficiency during operation.

Standards

ASME B16.11 Standard: This is the primary standard for threaded pipe fittings, including Threaded Cross. This standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements for threaded pipe fittings.

  • Material: Usually made of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, or other materials suitable for technical requirements and usage environment.
  • Dimensions: Threaded Cross dimensions shall comply with the dimension tables provided in ASME B16.11. This includes nominal size (NPS), outside diameter (OD), length (L), and thread depth.
  • Connection: Has internal threads to connect to other pipes or equipment.
  • Dimensional Tolerances: All dimensions must be within specified tolerance limits to ensure fit and assembly capability.
  • Thread tolerance: Threads must be of high precision, meeting tolerance requirements to ensure a secure and leak-free connection.
