Description

Threaded Elbow 45° is an internally threaded pipe fitting designed to connect pipe sections together at a 45 degree angle. This fitting is usually made from materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, or alloys to ensure durability and high pressure resistance.

Applications

  • Water supply system : Often used in water supply and drainage systems to regulate the flow direction of water.
  • Pneumatic systems : Used in pneumatic systems to redirect air flow.
  • Petroleum systems : Used in petroleum transportation systems to regulate the flow direction of petroleum liquids and gases.
  • Chemical industry : Applied in chemical transfer systems, ensuring safety and efficiency in diverting the flow of chemicals.

Standards

ASME B16.11 is a standard developed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for threaded pipe fittings, including 45° elbows. This standard specifies the dimensional, material, design, and testing requirements for pipe fittings in high-pressure systems.

Scope of application : Applicable to threaded fittings used in pressure piping systems. Including fittings such as elbow, tee, coupling, cap, union, and boss.

Size: from 1/8 inch to 4 inch.

Tolerances: on size, thickness and length are specified to ensure consistency and ease of assembly.

Materials: Materials used include carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and copper.
