Description

Threaded Elbow 90° is a type of pipe fitting with a 90-degree angle design, using threads to connect pipe sections together. This fitting is usually made from materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, or plastic. The threads on the fitting make it easy to install and remove without the need for welding.

Applications

Threaded Elbow 90° is widely used in many industrial and civil fields, including:

  • Plumbing: Used to redirect flow in water supply and drainage systems.
  • Oil and gas industry: Used in oil and gas transportation systems.
  • Chemical industry: Used in chemical handling and transportation systems.
  • HVAC System: Used in air conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • Fire extinguishing system: Used in automatic fire extinguishing systems.

Standards

ASME B16.11 is a standard established by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to specify dimensional, material, design, tolerance, and testing requirements for threaded fittings, including the 90° Threaded Elbow.

  • Nominal Size (NPS): Determines the size of the pipe the fitting will connect to.
  • Body size: The length, height and other relevant dimensions of the fittings shall comply with the values specified in the standard.
  • Tolerances: Dimensional tolerances must be within acceptable ranges to ensure compatibility and assembly capability.
  • Materials: Stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, plastic
  • Working pressure: Depends on material and size of fittings
