Description

Welding Outlet (Branch Welding Neck) is a pipe fitting used to connect main pipes and branch pipes together through welding. This product has a special shape, with one end shaped like a tube for welding to the main pipe and another end of a smaller size for connecting to the branch pipe.

Applications

  • Oil and gas pipeline systems : Welding Outlet is widely used in oil and gas pipeline systems to create pipeline branches or connect pipe sections together.
  • Chemical Processing Systems : In chemical processing plants, branch weld necks help connect main pipes to chemical distribution systems.
  • Power Industry : Used in power plants, energy systems to connect pipes carrying steam, cooling water, and other fluids.
  • Water supply and wastewater treatment systems : Helps connect main pipes to water supply or wastewater treatment systems.

Standards

MSS SP-97 is the industry standard for branch fittings, including Welding Outlets, Sockolets, Threadolets, and other Outlets. This standard specifies requirements for design, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control to ensure the integrity and durability of fittings when used in high-pressure piping systems.

  • Dimensions: MSS SP-97 specifies standard dimensions for Welding Outlets from 1/2 inch to 24 inches. These dimensions include outside diameter, overall height, and wall thickness.
  • Materials: Carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, other special alloys
  • Manufacturing process: The standard specifies specific manufacturing processes to ensure the quality of the final product, including machining, heat treatment, and surface treatment processes.
  • Design: The Welding Outlet must be designed to withstand the pressures and mechanical loads during operation. This includes specific shape and size requirements to ensure tight and secure welding.
