The ANSI B16.5 standard ensures that FLANGES THREADED meet strict requirements for size, material, pressure and temperature, ensuring safety and efficiency when used in industrial piping systems. This standard provides detailed guidance on manufacturing, installation and quality control, ensuring the compatibility and efficiency of flanges in actual applications.

  • Dimensions: The standard defines the specific dimensions of the flange including outside diameter, inside diameter, thickness, and threaded hole sizes.
  • Shape: The shape and design of the flange must comply with regulations to ensure compatibility and ease of installation with piping systems.
  • Nominal Pressure (Class): Flanges are classified according to different pressure classes (Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, 2500) and must withstand the corresponding pressure.
  • Operating Temperature: Flanges must withstand different operating temperature levels depending on the material and application.
  • Material Type: Flanges can be manufactured from materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys and other materials to suit the specific requirements of the application.
