Description

JIS B2220 16K Flanges are Japanese standard flanges, manufactured according to JIS B2220 standard with pressure rating 16K (16 kgf/cm² or 16 bar). These flanges are used to connect pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment in the pipeline system, helping to ensure safe and secure connections.

Applications

JIS B2220 – 16K flanges are widely used in various industries, including:

  • Oil and Gas Industry : Used in oil and gas pipeline systems, from oil and gas fields to refineries and distribution stations.
  • Chemical industry : Used in liquid and gas transmission systems in chemical plants.
  • Power Industry : Used in power plants, including nuclear power plants and coal-fired power plants.
  • Food and pharmaceutical industry : Used in food and pharmaceutical production and handling systems to ensure hygiene and safety.
  • Shipbuilding industry : Used in piping systems on ships and marine structures.

Standards

JIS B2220 standard specifies technical requirements for flanges, including the following parameters:

  • Nominal size : Flange size from DN10 to DN2000.
  • Nominal pressure : 16K (16 kgf/cm² or 16 bar).
  • Materials : Carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials suitable for specific working conditions.
  • Dimensions and tolerances : Specified in detail for each type of flange, including outside diameter, inside diameter, thickness, number and diameter of bolt holes.
  • Inspection and testing : Requirements for quality inspection, pressure testing and other tests to ensure flanges meet technical standards.
