Description

Socket Welding Elbow 90° is a pipe fitting designed to change the flow direction of liquid or gas in a piping system at an angle of 90 degrees. This fitting is connected using the socket welding method, in which the pipe is inserted into the socket end of the elbow and welded to create a strong and tight connection.

Applications

  • Oil and gas industry: Used in oil and gas pipeline systems.
  • Chemical industry: Used in systems for transporting chemicals and other solutions.
  • Food and beverage industry: Used in piping systems for water and other liquids.
  • Electrical Industry: Used in cooling systems and other applications.
  • Construction industry: Used in water supply and drainage systems and other construction applications.

Standards

ASME B16.11: This is the primary standard that defines the dimensional requirements, tolerances, pressure, and other factors for socket weld fittings, including 90° elbows.

  • Materials: Stainless steel, carbon steel, copper alloy, nickel alloy, and other alloys.
  • Size: From 1/8″ to 4″ (DN6 to DN100).
  • Pressure: Can withstand high pressures, typically 3000 psi, 6000 psi, or higher.
  • Connection: Socket welding connection, in which the pipe is inserted into the socket end of the elbow and welded to form a strong connection.
