Description

Socket Welding Outlet (also known as Sockolet) is a type of welding fitting used to connect pipes of different sizes. It is welded directly to the main pipe and has a socket connector to attach to the branch pipe. This design helps to create a strong connection and withstand high pressure.

Applications

Socket Welding Outlet is widely used in many industries, including:

  • Oil and Gas Industry: Used in oil and natural gas pipeline systems.
  • Chemical industry: Applied in chemical transport systems.
  • Energy Industry: Used in power plants, boiler systems and other energy facilities.
  • Food and beverage processing industry: Used in raw material production and transportation systems.

Standards

ASME B16.11: This is the American Society of Mechanical Engineers standard for socket weld and threaded fittings.

  • Material: Carbon steel, stainless steel, steel alloy.
  • Size: Depending on specific requirements, typically 1/8″ to 4″.
  • Pressure: Usually applied to high pressure systems, in accordance with ASME standards.
